"Duties of Assistant Engineers (Sub-Divisional Officers)"

  • He must carry-out at least once in three years a pole-to-pole inspection of all the main transmission lines within his charge and submit reports of such inspections to his divisional office. He will also arrange for all the lines and substations in his division to be completely overhauled at least once in three years.

"Duties of Line Supervisor (Now Jr. Engineer) of H.M.O."

  • The primary duty of a line supervisor is to inspect all main and branch transmission lines and substations in his charge and to keep them in efficient working order. Any defects, he is unable to rectify immediately must be brought to the notice of his Sub-Divisional Officer at once. He should report to Control immediately any defects which may cause an interruption in supply.
  • He is responsible for the maintenance of discipline and efficiency in the staff under his control and for the regular inspection and maintenance in good order of all transmission lines and rural substations in his charge.
