The provisions given here are related to those precautionary measures which have to be followed while working on electrical device. The safety rules regarding protection from fire, the storage of goods and equipment and the use of them, and the functioning and maintenance of thermal stations, are not included in this manual. Until detailed safety-rules manual are not prepared, in this respect, the necessary instructions will be issued by the concerned executive engineer for that duration.
A copy of this safety rule manual will be given to each officer and employee. He must keep this copy with him till he resigns from the job or is transferred, and when he leaves the job or is transferred, then he will return it to concerning sub-divisional office. He must present his copy before his senior officers, when he asked to do the same.
Every officer and employee should carefully study the provisions given in this manual. They must fully understand and follow them.
From time to time, as per requirement, new circulars can be released to give directions regarding increase and amendment in the clauses. On receiving such instructions, the rule manual should be rectified and it should be made up-to-date.
The ignorance about clauses of manual will not be an acceptable excuse for their violation, and strict action will be taken If deliberate violation of the clauses of this manual takes place. For appropriate disciplinary action, report of such violations of the provisions of the manual must be reported to the nearest senior Officer.
Except such matters where the alternative arrangement has been made, all the provisions given in this rule manual should be read as not in lieu of instructions given by senior officers, but in conjunction with them.
