Following mentioned activities should be done by below given steps-

• At the end of the task, the person in charge of the task will satisfy himself that all the working people and tools have been removed from the device and the working people have been warned that they neither touch the device nor go near it.
• After that he will remove 'earth' connections, if any, he has made.
• If the person issuing the work permit has been specifically permitted him to do this work, he will do “Megger test” at workplace to ensure that electric device is in fine state.
• In connection with above mentioned points, to certify that work has been done satisfactory and device is ready to live (hot) from his behalf. The appropriate entries would be done in work permit. After that the work permit will be handed over to the person who is responsible for executing switch-related actions.
•  If necessary the person responsible for action will send the information about the situation to the controller or any other officer from who’s approval the original work permit will be issued and he will get permission for switch related actions and other actions, to make the device hot (live).
• After getting this permission, if necessary then he will remove earth of the power house, if it is permissible he will give Megger to device and he will remove warning notice and work tapes from all the places where they were installed.>
• After satisfying himself personally with the fact that all the working people, tools and 'earth' have been removed and that all the work permits issued to work on that device are collected in fine condition and that the device is in fine condition to energies, the person responsible for the actions after executing necessary switch related actions will energies the device.
• After this the work permit should be forwarded to the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) for the records.
